Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill in San Francisco, have develop a 3D model represention of San Francisco’s city buildings in relation to its topography. The model has various levels of accuracy and detail based on different methods of research; From internet references, constructions drawings, photographs, and solar calculations. This model is used for all environmental studies and renderings for all of SOM’s San Francisco projects.
